It’s the Fall Premiere for the Idol Radio Show, which means that DJ Slim steps into the co-host spot for the rest of the year. Alan asks Slim if he is prepared in case the satellite decides to crash into his place when it falls. Then, out of what will seem like left field, Alan plays the theme song from an old PBS game show. Michael calls in to talk about Monday’s The Sing-Off, and to support Alan in blasting Slim for not watching that show. But Michael then switches sides when the conversation turns to The X Factor audition of boyband The Anser. Sir Darryl tries to fake like it’s not him calling into the show. The ratings are out for all the Monday and Tuesday premieres, and they are not good for two of the competition shows currently airing. The conversation finally turns towards tonight’s X Factor auditions, including a long segment about the guy who dropped his drawers on stage.
