The Idol Radio Show podcast for January 30, 2013
Hosted by the Token White Guy and the Sometimes Genius ChuckRitt
Tonight’s show started with at least half-a-brain, as Alan, aka the Token White Guy, was joined by the Sometimes Genius ChuckRitt. Breaking news about the last of the Andrews Sisters passing away was followed by a disturbing story of a Chinese man, his “incredibly ugly” baby, his wife’s plastic surgery, and the lawsuit he won. Alan thinks Chuck can relate to the Chinese man, only in reverse. (Happy 15th Birthday to Daylia, by the way.) Somehow, this leads the guys to talk about their disdain for American Idol sob stories, especially the ones that try to force you to believe something that isn’t true.
For tonight’s break, Alan plays Chucky’s entire theme song. Chucky loves it. And lives it. Which is really kind of scary.
After the break, the guys talk about Chris Brown’s latest fight, which leads Alan to wonder if Chris is in the middle of a multi-year breakdown and what the end of that might look like. Frank Ocean doesn’t get away from this conversation all that clean, either. Alan and Chuck then talk about YouTube testing some sort of fee for a small portion of content on their website.

You would think in this day and age that nothing would surprise us any more. You would think that we have heard it all already. You would think that nothing would be left to make us headplant the desk while shouting, “Are You Serious?”
