Idol Radio Show PodcastThe Idol Radio Show podcast for May 9, 2013
Hosted by the Token White Guy and Sir Darryl

It’s a bad night for Alan, aka the Token White Guy, on tonight’s Idol Radio Show. First, Alan has to deal with an extremely unprofessional Sir Darryl, who didn’t bother to watch the very first part of tonight’s American Idol. Alan then has to activate the Emergency Alert System so he can rant against the part he played in which American Idol contestant went home this week. Alan then levels new charges of discrimination against American Idol and explains why it means that Kree Harrison will win next week.

Alan and Darryl then talk about the news today that Randy Jackson is leaving American Idol. This leads to a conversation about the entire Judges’ Table needing to be cut, followed by a conversation about just how bad, or ok, of a host The Voice‘s Carson Daly is. The guys then try to figure out what the point of Mariah Carey’s new video is (you can watch it after the jump). The guys dish on some news about Jessica Sanchez, Clay Aiken, and Lauren Alaina.

Darryl and Alan spend the last fifteen minutes of the show talking about the America’s Got Talent audition taping that Darryl attended today.

Tonight’s Idol Radio Show starts with Alan, aka the Token White Guy, confirming that we now know who will win Season 12 of American Idol. Sir Darryl, however, doesn’t think Alan has really revealed anything special. This leads to a conversation about whether the producers stacked the deck to get a particular outcome this season. The guys then talk about Ryan Seacrest getting swatted, Lee DeWyze getting a new label, and new America’s Got Talent judge Mel B getting offended when an auditioner told a stereotypical black joke.

The Sometimes Genius ChuckRitt joins the guys to talk about The Temper-Tantrum Astronomical Kid, from The X Factor Season 1, getting a role in an upcoming movie, Crystal Bowersox doing a Patsy Cline Broadway musical, and Lazaro Arbos getting the boot from American Idol.
