Welcome to the new “Idol Radio Show” website!

It only took us four years to get here, but we finally have a new website for the Idol Radio Show. And in case you didn’t see the title of this entry: Welcome!

So why did it take so long for me to get around to creating a website for the show? For starters, I had to wrestle the domain name away from Sir Darryl. You see, Darryl’s feelings were hurt when I rose up and took control of the radio show away from him (not THAT hurt, though, since he is still my co-host). So Darryl retaliated the only way he could: by keeping control of the name of the site and refusing to allow me to use it. He laughed about it. He waved the site name in my face. He even once sent me a postcard with a picture of the website on the front and the words “na na na na na na” scribbled on the back. But in the end, I once again rose up and took control of what rightfully belonged to me.

It may be the final show of the season, but Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Sir Darryl remain in form as Alan declares that Michael Jackson is alive and was on American Idol tonight and Darryl declares, once again, that he wants to be in attendance should Scott McIntyre ever falls off the edge of the stage. During the break, Alan plays Brent Keith’s (Season 8, Group 1 contestant) new song, “Mercy (On My Heart).” And the winners of the season-long Nintento Wii Sports Package drawing are revealed throughout the show.

See you all in January 2010 for Season 5 of The Idol Radio Show.

Sir Darryl is very nervous as the next to last “Idol Radio Show” starts. Can he find his inner peace in time to do the show? Alan, aka the Token White Guy, decides to take a detour off AI to talk about Jesse James (get him OFF our TVs) and Lindsay Lohan (get her IN a rehab program). TMZ had a spy in the rehearsals, which didn’t go as well as one would hope. Alan and Darryl talk about the differences in when people called into the radio show last season versus this season. This leads to a discussion about whether people are voting for the two finalists because of their singing or because of who they are. After the break, the guys talk about each performance and make their picks to win.

Sir Darryl’s mind is not on American Idol as the show starts tonight, forcing Alan, aka the Token White Guy, to start the show over. Darryl wonders if voters have already made up their minds about Lee and Crystal or if they will actually listen to them sing next week before deciding. Alan goes on a rant about a Blogger-Who-Will-Not-Be-Named-In-This-Description who was on AI tonight. Justin Bieber, who is the subject of every other show in the world, finally becomes a subject on IRS. And Darryl takes center stage and sings “Fire” on the air. (WARNING: It is recommended that all listeners plug their ears and turn off the sound before listening to Darryl sing.) Deb from Vote For The Worst calls in to schmooze all over Darryl. Joyce from IdolBlogLive.com calls in just, well, to call in. The guys end the show talking about the “special song” that AI always creates for the Final 2.

Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Sir Darryl discuss the changes FOX announced for Season 10 of American Idol and whether those changes are good or bad. Darryl brings up how he was offended at seeing a group of black back-up singers during Lee DeWyze’s gospel song. Not done with being offended, Darryl calls into the Radio Dan Show because Radio Dan aired his show live at the same time the Idol Radio Show was airing. A discussion about what the Top 12 Idols supposedly make per album, if signed by 19 Entertainment, ensues prior to the break. IdolBlogLive.com owner DJSlim joins the guys for the last time this season to talk about the performances and whether Lee DeWyze can beat Crystal Bowersox for the win.

Sir Darryl is upset with American Idol, once again believing that they have deliberately sent a person home he didn’t pick. Alan, aka the Token White Guy, believes AI didn’t mess with a thing since his pick went home as predicted. An IdolBlogLive.com Shoutbox posts gets the guys talking about Fantasia’s performance tonight. A long discussion about the judges takes place, causing the guys to once again talk about which replacements they are willing to tolerate and which ones will cause them to disown AI for good. Clay Aiken’s upcoming new album gets some discussion and Darryl and Alan have a heart to heart about whether to even bother watching the show next season. IdolBlogLive.com member joeyinc calls in to take Alan to task about his dislike of Daughtry and what constitutes good music.
